Welcome to the Vittfarne Organisation website

The purpose of the Vittfarne organisation is to collect and disseminate knowledge about Viking age travels and expeditions on land and sea. 

The Vittfarne organisation was founded 2003 in order to accomplish "Expedition Vittfarne" which was a scientific expedition to Baku in Azerbaijan in the wake of the Viking chieftain Ingvar the far travelled. The Vittfarne expedition was successfully completed 2004 and brought a lot of new experiences.

Now we are in the planning phase for the next great expedition, Expedition Vinland. Our intentions are to sail with a Viking ship replica from Sweden to Canada and USA to learn more about the Viking discovery of Vinland.
